It has been widely believed that leadership can be considered an individual quality which can vary to a great of degree fron person to person. Examining individual difference in leadership has important implications for both leadership selection and leadership development.

What is leadership? Leadership is a kind of psychological qualities that allow individuals to be effective leaders. While leadership is usually required and observed in organizational settings, ultimately, it generally exits at individual level. This is aligned with most popular leadership theories (e.g., trait theory) and practices (e.g., leadership selection and development).
